The City of Richardson, Texas held its annual Citywide Pet Day on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The venue was the beautiful Huffines Park, where there were plenty of trees, a creek, and walking trails to enjoy.
As you can see in some of the pictures above, the term "pets" encompassed everything from reptiles to bunnies, goats, miniature horses, donkeys, pigs and everything in between! The animals shared the spotlight with 20 different rescue groups, veterinarians, vendors, live entertainment and food. There was also a Rescue Parade and a Blessing of the Animals.
NTSRI had its very own "Sambassadors" on hand: Maya and Hannah, who are both looking for their forever homes. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce hundreds of attendees to the wonderful Samoyed breed and to teach them about the dogs and why we love them.
